F erroli, the world’s leading Italian brand in the air conditioning sec- tor, has signed an agreement with Bestherm Air Conditioning to conduct their production, sales and market- ing activities in Turkey. With the agree- ment signed on July 30, 2019, Ferro- li Group, in line with the collaboration with Bestherm Air Conditioning, will pro- vide 350 people directly, and more than 1,000 people indirect employment by in- vesting over 10 million euros in Turkey in the next 5 years. Ferroli S.p.A World Export Director Mar- co Ippoliti providing information on Fer- roli in the press meeting said that, “We give special importance to Turkey. The dynamic workforce created by young pop- ulation in Turkey is remarkable. For us, as well as being a very valuable market, in terms of production and labor in Tur- key, a country where we will be happy to invest. Since 1989, we have been taking place in Turkey through representative of- fices and distributorships. However, due to the strategic location, we desire to be more active with Turkey. With the grow- ing and developing construction sector, young population, regional structure, we have decided to proceed with a local partner in order to create a competitive advantage for our air conditioning prod- ucts, especially combi. We have decided that Bestherm Air Con- ditioning is suitable to meet our needs in the market. As a result of our collab- oration, we aim to be increased to 10% within 5 years by doubling of our Ferro- li brand market share in Turkey. We be- lieve that our cooperation will make an important contribution to Ferroli Group and we will achieve new achievements”. Bestherm Air Conditioning Boards of Di- rectors Chairman Mehmet Besler said in his speech that, “Our cooperation with Ferroli, an agreement we place great im- portance in terms of Turkey to have a say in this market. Our first goal is to in- crease the market share of Ferroli prod- ucts and to increase brand value by developing effective customer and stake- holder relationships. We started with an investment of 5 million euros at theTur- key’s long stagnant period. In the me- dium term, we will invest 10 million eu- ros in total”. Bestherm Air-Conditioning Deputy Gener- al Director Erol Porsemay said that, “For the first time in Turkey, it will made pro- duction investment to the hybrid device that works with the heat pumps from air to water with a gas appliance. In this way, we will produce devices with A++ ef- ficiency, that is 20% more efficient than a normal condensing boiler. With this sys- tem, 138% efficiency can be achieved”. Explaining that the air conditioning sec- tor has also become digital in the world where every sector has become digital, Porsemay said, “We will focus on digital marketing in marketing efforts. Consum- ers will be able to create service demand with mobile applications. In line with Fer- roli’s customer principles, we are install- ing our system that will reduce the solu- tion process to our end consumers from 24 hours to 12 hours. This is an impor- tant step not only in Turkey but also in Eu- ropean conditions. We are establishing a digitalization and 100% customer satis- faction system in all existing platforms”. Ferroli Joins Forces With Bestherm Air Conditioning T he General Assembly meeting of the European Federation of Heat- ing, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning Associations (REHVA) took place on 26 May 2019 in Bucharest. During the meeting, in which the changes related to the new term works were announced, Stefano P. Corgnati, who was the for- mer REHVA President, handed over his duty to the new chairman and former ac- countant member of REHVA, Frank Hov- orka (AICVF) for three years. During the General Assembly, new members of RE- HVA’s Board of Directors were elected. REHVA, deciding to continue with three new board members in the new period, elected Ivo Martinac (SWEDVAC), Juan Traves (also ATECY) and Turkish Society of Sanitary Engineers of Turkey (TTMD) President Dr. Kemal Gani Bayraktar as the member of the Board of Direc- tors. Three members of the board of di- rectors in the previous period; Manuel Gameiro da Silva (OE), Atze Boerstra (TVVL) and Catalin Lungu (AIIF / AFCR / AGFR) will continue on the Board of Di- rectors. With the Vice Presidency of RE- HVA, TTMD will contribute to the devel- opment of REHVA and the activities of the Board of Directors.
